No. Optimum's internet plans do not require you to sign into a contract and you can cancel your service at any time without penalty. If you cancel within the first 30 days of your service, Optimum will refund you your monthly cost, modem charges and installation fees. If you cancel after the 30-day period, you'll be responsible for all charges, including installation and the days you've used the service.
