WOW! or Wide Open West is one of the largest cable companies in the United States. Founded in 1996 and headquartered in Denver, Colorado, WOW! offers cable TV, internet and home phone services.
Where is WOW! available?
WOW! services are available in select cities in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, South Carolina and Tennessee.
How fast are WOW! internet speeds?
WOW! has fairly competitive internet speeds with their base internet plan topping out at 100Mbps while their most premium internet plan includes a maximum speed of 1,000Mbps. These speeds are faster than your average household needs.
Do WOW! internet plans have data caps?
No! In fact, in 2017 WOW! made an official statement against data caps and promised to provide unlimited data to all of their customers.
Do WOW! services require a contract?
To take advantage of WOW! services you will have to sign on to a 1- or 2-year contract. Canceling your WOW! account before your contract end date will result in an early termination fee determined by the original term of the contract.
Does WOW! charge an installation fee?
Yes and no. WOW! does technically charge an installation fee, but they also consistently offer free installation deals. New customers should inquire with WOW! regarding these deals upon signup.
