Content levels and Approved Content mode
YouTube Kids offers four content-level settings tied to age ranges: Preschool, Younger Kids, Older Kids, and the supervised teen experience via Google Family Center. Each setting unlocks progressively more content, and parents choose which level applies based on their child's age and maturity. You can also disable the search function entirely, which means your child can only browse the curated library rather than search for whatever is trending that week.
