
Learn to love your new iOS 11 home screen. This is the best piece of advice we have for those of you who are just now learning that the new iOS 11 is available to all (recent) iPhones and iPads.
While the majority of the changes will be on the iPad, you will still see (and feel) the difference on your iPhone. This is particularly true if you are upgrading to the iPhone 8. With these changes, it is important to get the best data plan because we suspect you'll be on your new OS much more with all of the neat features (hello, super easy GIF saving!)
The OS 11:
Apple just sort of pushes these updates upon us all and we (eventually) upgrade or we can't handle life here in 2017.
There were beta tests and public forums discussing the development of the iOS 11 and now that the final version is available for download, you should do this.
How to update to new iOS system:
Settings App will prompt you with a red signal and you can update over-the-air. Go there now.
Alternatively, you can kick it old school and plug in your device and iTunes will give you a wired update.
Apple is smart and they have a queue system so just be patient and you will have a speedy update process once you're at the front of the queue.

iPhones 5s and later iPad mini 2 and later are all compatible with this new iOS 11.
Now that you know you're all set to update your phone, here's how:
- Go to "Settings"
- then "General"
- then "Software Update"

What you'll immediately notice
- iPhone updates won't immediately rock your world but be ready for a lot of apps that play with Augmented Reality
