Back when Google released their Pixel 2, we took note of the company’s improvements to an already great camera. Perhaps we didn’t emphasize it enough, though. This camera is really, really good.

If you need proof, consider John Legend's latest music video for "A Good Night." It was shot entirely on a Google Pixel 2--and it looks really, well, good.

Granted, this is a synchronized marketing effort between the Legend camp and Google; we might not even be talking about this otherwise.

Also, despite being shot with a Pixel 2, this was a big budget video, and the scenes likely look so good in part due to top-shelf lighting, post-production and editing, and the like.

Still, you have to marvel at the final product--it's hard to believe it was shot on a smartphone anyone can go out and buy for $650 outright.
