APN (Access Point Name) settings determine how your device connects to your mobile carrier’s network data services, internet access, and other tasks. These settings act as a gateway, providing the necessary configuration for your phone to communicate with your provider’s cellular network. You won’t be able to access your mobile data or the internet without the correct APN settings for your carrier.
Most modern smartphones automatically configure APN details when you insert a SIM card or activate an eSIM. However, you might need to manually adjust them if you encounter data connectivity problems or switch to US Mobile and bring your own device.
Below, you’ll find device-specific instructions to check or update your US Mobile APN settings.

Cheap unlimited data with US Mobile
US Mobile’s Unlimited Premium plan is one of the best unlimited data plans among MVNOs (Mobile Virtual Network Operators) because of its generous premium data, high-speed hotspot data allowance, and international perks—that’s a lot of value in one plan.
With US Mobile you can choose which network you want your plan to connect to, and even transfer between networks, including:- Dark Star for AT&T’s network
- Warp for Verizon’s network
- Light Speed to connect to T-Mobile’s network
When should you update your APN settings?
You should update your APN settings if you can’t access the internet on your phone or have recently switched carriers. While most smartphones set up APNs automatically, you may need to manually update them if your data isn’t working despite having an active plan. However, before you start adjusting technical settings, check out our data connection troubleshooting guide to make sure your mobile data is properly configured.
Many carriers, including US Mobile, require specific APN settings for their network to work correctly. This is especially important with US Mobile since they offer plans on three different networks:
- Dark Star relies on AT&T’s network.
- Warp connects to Verizon’s network.
- Light Speed uses T-Mobile’s network.
Always use the exact APN details provided by US Mobile to make sure you connect to the right network, and restart your device after applying changes. Incorrect APN edits can disrupt your service, so only modify these settings if you’re certain your phone is unlocked and compatible with US Mobile.
