Just in time for back to school, Mint Mobile is making it even cheaper for the whole family to stay connected. For a limited time, you can sign up for any 3-month Mint plan and get up to four more lines for free.

This deal is in addition to Mint's Summer Savings promotion, which offers any 3-month data package for just $15/month—including the carrier's Unlimited data plan (usually $30). That means you'll pay just $45 for three months of any Mint plan for the entire family.

How to get Mint's Buy 1, Get 4 deal

To qualify for this promotion, you must be a new Mint Mobile customer switching from Verizon or AT&T. Mint is owned and operated by T-Mobile; therefore, T-Mobile customers are ineligible at this time. You'll also need to port all phone numbers over to Mint from your previous carrier. To sign up:

Pick your favorite Mint Mobile plan above and sign up for a 3-month package for $15/month.
Add up to four more plans of that same 3-month package.
Provide all phone numbers to port over from Verizon or AT&T.
Activate your plans within 45 days of signing up. Mint gives you the option of activating immediately via your phone's eSIM, or receiving a physical SIM card through the mail.

How does this deal compare to Mint's family plan?

Mint Mobile's Modern Family plan offers the flexibility to customize a family plan to meet the needs of each member. You can mix and match between all of Mint's plan offerings to create a multi-line package that works for everyone.

For example, you might create a 3-line family plan with an unlimited plan for the streamer and gamer in the house, plus a 15GB package for the moderate data user, and a small 5GB package for someone who's almost always connected to Wi-Fi for their internet usage.

With Mint's Buy 1, Get 4 multi-line deal, all lines that you initially switch over must sign up for same 3-month plan.
