How to Cancel Your Hulu Subscription

The process for canceling your Hulu account will depend on where you got your subscription from in the first place. We’ll run through instructions on how to cancel Hulu, whether you got your subscription directly from Hulu or from a third-party source like Amazon or Disney+. If you’ve reached your capacity for streaming services and want to cut back, here’s how you cancel your Hulu subscription.

Note: It will follow the same process whether you have a basic Hulu subscription or a Hulu Plus Live TV subscription.

Canceling Your Hulu Subscription

If you signed up directly from Hulu, canceling your subscription is as simple as navigating to your Account page from the Hulu app (on your mobile device or smart TV) or your internet browser on your computer, tablet,  or phone.

1. Access your Hulu Account page.
2. Select Cancel Your Subscription. 

   

3. Follow the on-screen instructions and confirm your account cancellation.

After following these steps, you should get an email confirming your Hulu subscription cancellation. You can double-check if your Hulu account cancellation worked by checking your subscription status on your Account page. You should see “Your subscription is about to cancel.” If so, your account will still work until the end of the billing period and you won’t get charged again. 

How to Remove Credit Card Information from Hulu

Just to be safe, you can also remove your credit card from your Hulu account to avoid any charges altogether.

1. Login to your Hulu Account page, which you can access from a web browser or the Hulu app on your mobile device or smart TV.

If your Hulu membership is billed through Amazon, you can either cancel your Hulu subscription through the Hulu app or via Amazon.

1. Go to your Disney+ account page.
2. Select your subscription.

If your Hulu subscription comes from Apple, you can easily cancel your Hulu account from your iPhone or iPad. If you don’t have an Apple mobile device, you’ll need to follow the same steps on iTunes on a computer.

If you signed up for either the Unlimited Ultimate, Unlimited Plus, or Unlimited Welcome Verizon unlimited plans, then you could opt into a discounted Hulu subscription with your cell phone plan. Here are the steps to cancel your Hulu account from your Verizon account:

1. Go to your My Verizon page.
2. Hover over the Account tab and select Add-ons & apps overview from the drop-down menu.
3. Click the More icon next to your Hulu subscription.
4. Cancel Hulu membership.
