AT&T is set to debut two new unlimited plans on the heels of its merger with Time Warner.
The so-called Unlimited &More and Unlimited &More Premium (not the most original names are they?) will be available next week. Details are sketchy thus far, but we know that the non-premium Unlimited &More includes the option to add WatchTV, a brand new service featuring 30+ live channels. You'l also get a $15 credit towards DIRECTV NOW.
Unlimited &More Premium includes these features along with a 15GB hotspot allotment, HD video, and the option to add premium services to the WatchTV subscription at no extra charge. "Premium services" includes HBO, Cinemax, Showtime or Starz channels as well as music streaming services like Pandora and Amazon Music.
While AT&T doesn't give a price for their new plans in their press release, CNET is reporting that the base Unlimited &More costs $70/line while Unlimited &More Premium is $80. Customers on current AT&T unlimited plans are apparently free to switch to the new plans.
The move to include more video options makes sense given the telecom behemoth's recent deal for TV giant Time Warner. Get used to hearing "the nation's best network for streaming video," because it looks like it might be AT&T's newest catchphrase.
CNN, HGTV, A&E and the Food Network are just a few of the channels included with WatchTV. Here's a full list. What, no ESPN??
