After combing through several great applicants, WhistleOut has found our candidate, and boy did we find a qualified one! Meet Nick Dekker.

Nick is a food and travel writer based out of central Ohio. In addition to writing for several publications across the state, Nick has been running and writing for his own award-winning blog Breakfast with Nick since 2007. Nick also occasionally leads culinary tours themed around breakfast and brunch for Columbus Food Adventures.

We are thrilled to have found someone with a clear passion for food and a love for sharing that passion with others.

If we’ve learned anything during the pandemic, it’s that social distancing doesn’t necessarily mean being alone. And now, we need your help to prove this. We’ll pay you $1,000 to host virtual brunches with your friends!

Job Details

It’s simple really. You’ll host three (3) brunches with some of your favorite people using one of several video chat apps, and report back to us about how they went. We’ll pay you $1,000 to do the task. 

Our goal is to gather timely and comprehensive insights about which video chat platforms are the best for friends to gather and communicate with during the pandemic. You’ll be testing out any three of the following (your choice!):

• Houseparty
• Bunch
• Airtime
• Squad
• Rave

Who We're Looking for

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable and committed to hosting three brunches, using a different virtual chat app during each one, and answering a few simple questions about it after. Applicants must be over the age of 18 and eligible to work in the U.S.

What You'll Get

Besides a great excuse to hang out with your besties, you’ll get:

• A $300 Grubhub gift card for your food—that’s three really lavish meals for yourself, or you could be nice and buy food for the friends you plan on video chatting with too

How to Apply

To apply, fill out the application form (below) with approximately 200 words about why you (and your brunch crew) would be a good fit for the role. Don’t be shy about telling us why you're passionate about brunch, video chatting or, ideally, both!

To help your case even more, be sure to mention any social media platforms that you have an active presence on. We’d love our brunch host to tag us on their relevant channels. 

Applicants must be over the age of 18 and eligible to work in the US.

Terms and Conditions

1. The promoter of the Virtually Brunch With Your Friends (“Dream Job”) is WhistleOut Inc. (“WhistleOut”), whose principal office is located at 420 Stevens Avenue, Suite 330, Solana Beach, CA 92075.
2. Employees of WhistleOut or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the Dream Job or helping to set up the Dream Job shall not be permitted to enter.
3. Persons must be at least 18 years old, or otherwise have reached the age of majority under the laws of the state where you reside, in order to participate.
4. Only residents of the United States are eligible to participate
5. DREAM JOB VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
6. There is NO ENTRY FEE AND NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO APPLY FOR THIS DREAM JOB. Any purchase or consideration otherwise given by entrants will not improve one’s chances of being selected for the Dream Job.
7. Route to entry for the Dream Job and details on how to enter are available at www.whistleout.com. Individuals may apply by filling out the application form on WhistleOut.com’s website.
8. Closing date for entry will be May 15, 2020 at 11:59 PM PST. After this date, no further applications to the Dream Job will be permitted.
9. WhistleOut shall select one (1) Recipient from the entire pool of eligible entries. The Recipient will be selected based on the quality of the application as judged by WhistleOut employees.
10. The Recipient will be notified by email and/or letter within 7 days of the closing date. If the Recipient cannot be contacted, is not eligible, or does not claim the opportunity to participate in the Dream Job within 10 days of notification, WhistleOut reserves the right to withdraw the offer from the Recipient and pick a replacement Recipient.
11. The Recipient acknowledges that participation in the Dream Job will be as an independent contractor. No agency, partnership, joint venture, or employee-employer relationship is intended or created by acceptance of the Dream Job. The Recipient has no authority to bind WhistleOut to contracts, make any agreement or representations without WhistleOut’s written consent. The Recipient shall not be eligible to participate in any vacation, group medical or life insurance, disability, profit sharing, or retirement benefits, or any other fringe benefits or benefit plans offered by WhistleOut to its employees. WhistleOut is not responsible for withholding or paying any income, payroll, Social Security, or other federal, state, or local taxes, making any insurance contributions, including unemployment or disability, or obtaining worker’s compensation insurance on Recipient’s behalf. Recipient acknowledges that stipend is subject to all applicable taxes. The Recipient is solely responsible for all such taxes or contributions, including penalties and interest.
12. Dream Job consists of hosting 3 virtual brunches, and testing one different video conferencing application each time. The Recipient must choose a different video conferencing application to test with their friends during each brunch. The Recipient must choose from: HouseParty, Bunch, Airtime, Squad, or Rave. All applications are available for download at no cost for both iOS and Android. The Recipient must have access to a smartphone and the above applications to complete the Dream Job requirements.
13. Prior to the start of the Dream Job, the Recipient will receive a welcome package either mailed, electronically delivered, or hand-delivered to Recipient. Welcome package includes: three (3) $100.00 Grubhub gift cards. The value of the brunching kit is approximately $300.00 USD.
14. This Dream Job is conducted by WhistleOut and is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Grubhub Inc., HouseParty (Life on Air Inc.), Bunch Live Inc., Airtime Media Inc, Squad (Olabot Inc), or Rave Inc., or any of the properties listed above or their affiliates.
15. Upon completion of the Dream Job, the Recipient will receive a one time payment of $1000.00 USD. Upon completion of Dream Job, funds shall be distributed no earlier than 30 days following Recipient notification.
16. No cash alternative to the food delivery gift cards will be offered. Opportunity to participate in the Dream Job is not transferable. WhistleOut reserves the right to substitute the Grubhub giftcard with a food delivery giftcard of equivalent value without giving notice.
17. The Recipient agrees to the use of his/her/their name and image in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the Recipient or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current federal and state data protection legislation. 18. Where legally required, the Recipient(s) name(s) will be available upon request 28 days after the closing date. To request the Recipient(s) names, please send the request in a stamped addressed envelope to the following address:

19. WhistleOut.com reserves the right to cancel or amend this Dream Job and these Terms and Conditions without notice.
20. WhistleOut.com’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the Dream Job will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
21. The Dream Job and these Terms and Conditions will be governed by Utah law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Utah.
22. By submitting an application for this Dream Job, applicants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
